Create the organization microphone bank, give each microphone a label students recognize, and choose starting microphone defaults for Project Types and Show Blocks.

Use labels that match tape, transmitter numbers, receiver channels, or whatever students see in the studio.

This is only a starting recommendation. Audio can change the microphone for the actual person on a specific show.

How the defaults behave
Defaults help Tech Center make a first suggestion, but the Audio operator assigns microphones to people for the show. Once a person has a microphone, Vervik keeps that same microphone with them across every segment unless Audio or the Director changes it. A microphone may be shared by people in different segments when there is enough time to swap it.
